Carolyn F. Sarazin, age 84, of Virginia and formerly a longtime resident of Babbitt, died Monday, April 8, 2019 at her home with family by her side. She was born November 17, 1934, in Maple, WI the daughter of Wesley and Lillian (Nurkkala) Orville. She was a graduate of Northwestern High School in Maple. Carolyn was united in marriage to William C. Sarazin on October 23, 1954 in Lake Nebagamon, WI.
Carolyn worked as a homemaker and a secretary for Reserve mining and the Arrowhead Library System. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Babbitt. Carolyn enjoyed sewing, knitting and baking.
Carolyn is survived by her husband: Bill; children: Tim (Tammy) Sarazin of Tomahawk, WI, and Dawn (Rock) Chamberlin of Babbitt, MN; sister: Jeanne Moorhead of Chandler, AZ; grandchildren: Erica Sarazin, Willie Sarazin, Mike Sarazin, Todd (Natalie) Sarazin, Shela (Dan) Parola, Tony (Devin) Chamberlin, and Jake (Ketti) Chamberlin; great-grandchildren: Tiegan, Evan, Alex, Austyn, Ezra, Avryl, Bodi and Esme; and many extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son: Keith Sarazin; and sister: Judy Sauve.
Visitation will be from 10:30 am until the 11:00 am Memorial Service Monday, April 15, 2019, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Babbitt. Fr. Brandon Moravitz will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Babbitt Cemetery at a later date.
