Karen Louise (Wallgren) Bodovinitz

          Karen Louise (Wallgren) Bodovinitz peacefully left us on January 3, 2021. She was born November 3, 1936 in Virginia, the daughter of Don and Irene (Rautio) Wallgren, and was a graduate of Virginia Roosevelt High School.  After graduating, Karen married Jerry Bodovinitz.  Together they raised 3 children.  Karen enjoyed her job at Norwest Bank, always having people to visit with.  She enjoyed traveling; she loved Arizona and Hawaii and summers on Lake Vermilion.  Karen especially loved her family and will be greatly missed. 

          Karen is survived by daughters: Kerry (Bob) Bragge and Leslie (Randy) Sowers; grandchildren: Melissa (David) Hillman, Justin (Amie) Bodovinitz, Josh, Bragge, Clair Moe, Ian and Eli Bodovinitz, Maddie, Ethan and Amelia Hillman, Dakotah Guski, Ella Bodovinitz and Simon Jeffrey.  Karen is also survived by her sister Sandi Britt; sisters-in-law: Marion Popelka, Norma Bodovinac and Peggy Bodovinitz; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

          Preceding Karen in death were her parents, her son Jeff, her husband Jerry, brothers-in-law: Tom Britt, John Bodovinac, Bill Popelka and Mike Bodovinitz; nephew Steven and niece Paige.

          Leslie would like to thank the loving people of Waterview Woods for the love and care and respect given to Karen these last difficult years.

          A graveside service will be held this Spring in the Greenwood Cemetery.
