Nancy Edman Obituary

            Nancy D. Edman, age 69, longtime resident of Virginia died Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Miller-Dwan Medical Center in Duluth.  She was born March 16, 1953, in Ironwood, MI, the daughter of Robert and Juanita (Boyle) Harris.  She was a graduate of Babbitt High School, and she went on to attend Lake Superior College and Ely Community College.  Nancy was united in marriage to Russell Edman, Jr., on May 26, 1973, in Babbitt, MN.

            Nancy worked as a secretary for the Millwrights Local #1348 and the Carpenters Local #606 for more than 18 years.  She served as a board member for the Virginia Co-op Credit Union, and she was a Girl Scout Leader.  She was a member of Hope Community Presbyterian Church. Nancy loved to spend time with her grandchildren.  She enjoyed spending time at the lake, and golfing.

            Nancy is survived by her husband: Russell, Jr.; children: Jeffrey (Christie) Edman of Virginia, MN, and Katie (Matt) Hiti of Eveleth, MN; father-in-law: Russell Edman, Sr. of Babbitt, MN; brothers-in-law: Anthony Ferraro of Chanhassen, MN, and Bruce (Lynn) Edman of McKinney, TX; grandchildren: Kyra and Brett Okland and Adelyn and Camden Hiti; and numerous extended family members and friends.

            She was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Donald Bonacci; and sister: Janette Ferraro.

            A Gathering of Family and Friends to celebrate Nancy’s life will be Monday, August 15, 2022, from 4-6 p.m. at the Bauman-Cron Funeral Home Chapel.
