DeEtta Constance (Stoltz) Bertucci age 91 of Fayal Township died March 22, 2019 at Diamond Willow Assisted Living in Mt. Iron, with family by her side. DeEtta was born December 23, 1927 in Virginia, MN, the Daughter of Howard and Constance (Morris) Stoltz. DeEtta attended Virginia Roosevelt High School and Duluth Beauty School. DeEtta and the love of her life, Antonio Rocco Bertucci, were united in marriage July 16, 1949. DeEtta was a beautician, a restauranteur, a dry cleaner, a personal attendant and a gardener. Over the years she operated Tonio's Liquor in Eveleth, The Pizza House in Eveleth and Cook. She was a member of Eveleth/Fayal Garden Club and Resurrection/ St. Joseph Catholic Community. DeEtta and Tonio enjoyed many winters in Florida and summers at Lake Vermillion, spending time with family.
DeEtta is survived by her loving sons: James (Sharon), Tony (Susan), Christopher (Trudy) and Peter; Daughter: Constance Bertucci; Grandchildren: Sara (Donald) Malewitz, James (Mandy), DeEtta, and Katryna and 4 great grandchildren: Lucas & Josephine Malewitz, Bexley & Gino Bertucci whom she enjoyed; nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Tonio; grandson: Lucas Bertucci; brothers; sisters; and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday April 5, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Bauman-Cron Funeral Home in Virginia. Visitation will continue Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Gilbert. Reverend Father Michael Garry, Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Eveleth Cemetery.
Memorials are the preferred way to honor DeEtta’s memory and may be directed to the Eveleth/Fayal Garden Club or the donor’s choice.
