Raymond Boshey, age 89 of Bois Forte Vermilion Reservation, Tower, died Saturday, August 17, 2019 in his home. He was born December 13, 1929 on the, Tower, the son of Thomas and Josephine (Burnside) Boshey. He attended High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He served as a maintenance man for the Bois Forte Reservation, was an avid Vikings fan, and enjoyed hunting, netting, picking wild berries, and playing Bingo. He enjoyed maintaining his manicured lawn, and was always there for his family and friends.
Raymond is survived by special companion: Barbara “Jackie” Chavez; children: Gary (Christine) Boshey, Dale Boshey, Cindy (Vernon) Adams, Steve Boshey, Sr. and Keith Boshey; 28 Grandchildren; 68 Great-Grandchildren; 6 great-Great Grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephew, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: children: Jeffery Boshey, Terry Boshey, and Beverly Miller Lightfeather and siblings: Richard, Harrison, John, and Elizabeth.
Wake will begin at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at the Bois Forte Vermilion Wellness Center, and will continue until the 10:00 am Tribal Rites, Wednesday, August 21, 2019. Interment will follow in the Bois Forte Vermilion Reservation Cemetery.
