Alan S. "Bumps" Anderson, age 59 of Britt, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2009 in his home. He was born September 14, 1949 in Virginia, the son of Stanley and Francis (Leskar) Andersen of Britt. He attended school in Virginia. Alan started work for Tini Sheet Metal in Virginia at 19 years of age, working there for 33 years as a sheet metal worker, retiring two years ago. He enjoyed working with his heavy equipment machines. He married Darlene Larson on May 1, 1998.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene; son, Keith Anderson of Britt; parents, Stanley and Francis Andersen of Virginia; and brothers, David Anderson of Britt and Donny Anderson of St. Cloud, MN.
He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 11, 2009, one hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at the Bauman-Cron Funeral Home Chapel in Virginia. Reverend Jeffrey Jones will officiate. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Virginia.
