Alma G. Hummel, age 83 of Hibbing and formerly of Duluth and Mesa, AZ died Friday, October 24, 2014 in the Fairview Range Medical Center. She was born July 13, 1931 in Cohasset, MN the daughter of Wayne and Heide (Anderson) Brower, and attended school in Pequot Lakes, MN. Alma married Lloyd Hummel on July 24, 1950 at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Hibbing. She enjoyed bowling, casinos, was an avid sports fan, and was a homemaker.
Alma is survived by daughter: Gail (Larry) Asperheim of Hibbing; son: David Hummel of Chisholm; sister: Ada Mae Bensager of Idaho; grandchildren: Tracy (Tim) Angelo and Kari (Ron Farr) Zieske; great-grandchildren: Jordan, Maggie, Gio, Samantha, and Jon Marie; numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Lloyd; sisters: Ethel, Pearl, Helen, Wanda, and Arlene; and brothers: Duane, Arnold, and Allen.
A Gathering time for family and friends will be held Thursday, October 30, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. Memorial Service in the Anderson-Daniels Funeral Home Chapel. Greg Anderson will be the funeral celebrant. Inurnment will follow in the Hibbing Park-Maple Hill Cemetery.
