Angela M. Finco, age 100, lifelong resident of Ely died Wednesday, May 25, 2011, in St. Michael's Health and Rehab. Center, in Virginia. She was born October 18, 1910, in Ely, the daughter of Vincent and Angela (Columbo) Bottiani. She graduated from Ely High School, and was united in Marriage to Domenic Finco in 1931.
Angela worked as a homemaker. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, The American Fraternal Union, and the Italian Club of Ely. She enjoyed crocheting, playing games, and reading.
Angela is survived by three children: Arthur (Alison) Finco of Ft. Wayne, IN, Mary "Babe" (John) Elioff of St. Paul, and Antoinette "Toni" Schlump of St. Paul; six grandchildren: Mark (Martha) Finco, John Finco, Denise Zechmann, Michael (Shelah) Elioff, Kristin Woody, and Dominic (Jennifer) Schlump; five great-grandchildren: Jason Johnson, Matthew (Julie) Johnson, Natalie Zechmann, Daniel Elioff, and Nicholas Elioff; a great-great-granddaughter: Audrey Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Angela was preceded in death by her parents; four siblings: Joseph and Enrico Bottiani, Katherine "Katie" Berra, and Giovanina Garni; and her husband: Domenic.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am Memorial Mass Friday, June 10, 2011 in St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Ely. Father Bill Skarich will be the celebrant. Inunrment will be in the Ely Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to St. Michael's Health and Rehab. Center.
