Ardis
Hyatt
Dec 13, 1931 — Oct 29, 2018
Biography
Ardis Lorraine Hyatt, "Queen Bee", age 86, longtime resident of Hibbing passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Monday, October 29, 2018. She was born December 13, 1931, in Devils Lake, ND, the daughter of Thaddeus and Pearl (Nelson) Hyatt. Born completely deaf, Ardis was the eldest of 8 children. Although she never married, family was her greatest joy! She prided herself on remembering the birthdays of her brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many more. Being deaf, her language of love was her commitment to caring for her family.
Ardis worked many years for Central Laundry, and later at Hibbing Electronics as an assembler. She attended North Star Church. Ardis enjoyed family time, coffee and BINGO with her dear friends at the Lee Center, puzzles, word-searches, and playing cards.
She is survived by her sister: Joan Zelinski of Hibbing; brothers: Thad (Carol) Hyatt of Blaine, MN, Duane Hyatt of Niceville, FL, and Bob (Bonnie) Hyatt of Hibbing; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters: Betty Gustafson, LaVonne Cyr, and Kathryn Hyatt; and three infant brothers.
Visitation will be from 10 am until the 11 am Funeral Service Saturday, November 3, 2018, at North Star Church (located in the Irongate Plaza) in Hibbing. Pastor Chris Champion will officiate. Interment will be in the Hibbing Park (Maple Hill) Cemetery.
Although Ardis will be deeply missed, her family rejoices in knowing that she is welcomed into the arms of her Lord, healed and finally hears her name spoken by those that have gone on before her.
