Obituary



Barbara Ann Hyatt, age 65, longtime resident of Hibbing died Thursday, June 4, 2009 at home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 2, 1943 in Superior, WI, the daughter of William E. and Mildred (Powell) Hanson. She was a graduate of Hibbing High School. On November 21, 1964 she married Robert Hyatt in Hibbing.
Barb was a member of Hibbing Alliance Church. She enjoyed her church and bible study. She loved her grandchildren, and her family. She loved sitting outside on a sunny day visiting and watching the kids play. She spent most of her years as a homemaker, mother and grandmother. Barb always had a cup of coffee for you if you stopped by. She also enjoyed scrap booking. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, counselor, teacher, and caregiver.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years: Robert; her children: Brian (Tana) Hyatt of Coon Rapids, MN, Pam (John) Reini and Mark (Holly) Hyatt of Hibbing; grandchildren: Chester and Emily Fishel, Cecelia Renee Hyatt, Nathaniel, Andrew, and Joshua Hyatt; sisters: Wanda Hubbard of Duluth, MN, and Toni Gustafson of Chisholm, MN and brother: Joe (Debbie) Hanson of Oak Grove, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Mike; and infant sister: Jean Marie.
Casketbearers will be: Thad and Duane Hyatt, Joe Hanson, Danny Zelinski, and Steve and Rollie Erickson.
Visitation will be Monday, June 8, 2009 from 10:00 am until the 12:00 noon service at the Hibbing Alliance Church. Reverend Kevin L. Norton will officiate. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
