Bernice Marie Tate, age 99, lifelong resident of Hibbing died Monday July 17, 2017, at Heritage Manor in Chisholm. She was born February 9, 1918, in Hibbing the daughter of Otto and Agda (Peterson) Pearson. She was united in marriage to Raymond Tate in 1935 in Hibbing.

Bernice worked as a homemaker. She was a Member of First Lutheran Church in Hibbing. She enjoyed dancing and looking after others.

Bernice is survived by her children: Richard Tate of Terre Haute, IN, and Bernice Rae Erickson of Greensboro, NC; brother: Marvin (Ione) Pearson of St. Cloud, MN; 5 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

Bernice was preceded in death by her husband: Raymond (1975); brother: Edgar; sister: Ardell; daughter-in-law: Bonnie Tate; and son-in-law: Ron Erickson.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at 11:00 am at the Hibbing Park "Maple Hill" Cemetery. Pastor Ben Schori will officiate. Memorials are preferred to First Lutheran Church or Heritage Manor.
