Betty Lou Schauer, age 77 of Tower died unexpectedly, Wednesday, August 15, 2012 in her home. She was born November 17, 1934 in Park Rapids, MN the daughter of Barney and Iona (Dickson) Nelson. She married Adam Hoff and they lived in North Dakota. After their divorce, she moved to Arizona and worked in a Retirement Home. Betty moved to Soudan in the early'90's and moved to Tower about a year ago. She was a homemaker and loved canning.
Betty is survived by children: Barney Hoff of Jamestown, ND, Walter Hoff of Phoenix, AZ, Alton Hoff of Chandler, AZ, Cindy Lou Hoff of Phoenix, and Mary Wetzel of Phoenix; siblings: Vernon Nelson, Bonney Stroh, Mildred "Midge" Clark, Varley Nelson, Miles Nelson, Neal Nelson, and Neda Irish; numerous grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husbands including Adam Hoff.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 in Bauman's Vermilion Funeral Home in Tower. Pastor Lisa Buchanan will officiate.
