BEVERLY FLOYD KOSMACH

Beverly Floyd Kosmach, 83, of Virginia, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Diamond Willow Assisted Living in Mt. Iron Minnesota.
She was born on August 2, 1930, in Eveleth, the daughter of Cecil and Lillian (Klemetsmo) Floyd.
Beverly grew up in Eveleth and was a 1948 graduate of the Eveleth High School. After graduation she attended Eveleth Junior College for a period until accepting an office job opportunity with US Steel.
Beverly was married to the love of her life, William "Bill" Kosmach on August 25, 1951 in the Eveleth United Methodist Church. They shared many fun times together and were a special couple. They especially enjoyed listening and dancing to polka music and spending time at their cabin on Long Lake.
Beverly belongs to the Peace United Methodist Church in Virginia, and it was very important to her to attend church services each Sunday. Beverly was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for over 82 years. Her mother started her membership when Beverly was 1 year old. One of Beverly's favorite past-times was spending time at the cabin on Long Lake south of Eveleth. Her parents purchased the lake place when she was young and she enjoyed many summers there with her family and many close dear friends. The Fourth of July was always a special Holiday for Beverly and there where many happy celebrations on July 4th at Long Lake along with an abundance of good food and fireworks.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Lillian Floyd, her husband William "Bill" Kosmach (May 4, 2007), her cherished daughter Louanne Cecile Picek (March 15, 2010). Louanne was Beverly and Bill's pride and joy and they raised her to be a wonderful daughter. Her Godparents, Uncle Rey and Aunt Irene Klemetsmo. Her Uncle Arvid (Jeanette) Klemetsmo.
Beverly is survived by her special son-in-law Gary Picek. She would always tell others that Gary was the best son-in-law she could have and the best son-in-law in the world. She did appreciate all that Gary did for her in many thankful ways. Beverly is also survived by her cousin Kay (Klemetsmo) Jim Ryan of rural Hibbing Minnesota. Beverly was Kay's Godmother and they shared many good times over the years. Gail (Floyd) Erv Baumann a cousin of Walker Minnesota, who shared many memorable times at the cabin on Long Lake. Bob (Georgia) Klemetsmo a cousin of Boca Raton Florida. The Kosmach Family nieces and nephew, her dear classmates from the Eveleth Class of 1948 and her numerous friends and relatives.
A special thank you to Dr. Keith Peterson, the staff at Diamond Willow, Essentia Health-St. Mary's Hospice, and Edgewood Vista, for the special care and understanding they gave Beverly.
