Brian John Grew, age 54 of Virginia died tragically, August 13, 2011 in his home. He was born January 4, 1957 in Virginia, the son of Herbert and Patricia (Hayeski) Grew and was a lifelong Virginia resident. Brian married Kimberly Paulette Linders on May 27, 1978. He was employed by the Virginia Public Utilities in the Power Plant as a Shift Boss. Brian was an avid bowler; enjoyed golfing and model trains, and loved music. He was a sax player in the Virginia City Band; and was a well-known radio personality, hosting a popular polka show.
Brian is survived by his children: Raeann Grew of Maple Grove, MN, Christopher (Amanda) Grew of Big Lake, MN and Daniel (fiancée Sharda Whitticker) Grew of Hopkins, MN; grandchildren: Carsyn and Alec Grew; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
A Gathering Time for Family and Friends will be held Wednesday. August 17, 2011 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Bauman-Cron Funeral Home Chapel. The gathering time will continue Thursday, August 18, 2011 from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. Memorial Mass in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Virginia. Reverend Father John O'Donnell will be the celebrant. Inurnment will be in the Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred.
