Carmen Elaine Bodle, age 56, longtime resident of Keewatin and formerly of Iowa, died Friday, March 20, 2015, at Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing. She was born May 15, 1958, in Waterloo, IA, the daughter of Alvin and Dorothy (Closser) Brown. She graduated from High School in Parkersburg, IA, and went on to receive her Respiratory Therapist degree from Rochester Community College. She was united in marriage to Thomas Bodle on May 31, 1980, in Parkersburg, IA.
Carmen worked as a Respiratory Therapist at the Fairview Range Medical Center for 22 years. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
Carmen is survived by her husband: Tom; her two sons: Philip Thomas (Amy Graber) Bodle, and Derek (Kathryn Alaniva) Bodle, both of Hibbing; her brother: David Brown of Texas; her sister: Sandy (Delbert) Hemmen of Dike, IA; her mother-in-law: Viola Bodle, her brother-in-law: Patrick (Kay) Bodle; her sister-in-law: Diane (Bill) Hanson; five grandchildren: Garion, Lorial, Rose, Liam, and Ava; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters: Rachel and Jennifer Bodle; her father-in-law: Arthur Bodle; her brother-in-law: Richard Bodle; and her sister-in-law: Jeanne Brown.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am Memorial Service Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Hibbing. The Reverend Terry Tilton will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date.
