Catherine Joyce Cody, age 85 of Hibbing, died Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Cornerstone Villa in Buhl. She was born October 6, 1923 in Hibbing, the daughter of William and Thelma Campbell. She was a graduate of Hibbing High School and the Hibbing Jr. College. She was united in marriage to Arleigh Cody on Aug. 4, 1946 in Hibbing.
Catherine was a registered nurse at the Hibbing General Hospital, and was the owner of the Hobby Hub in Hibbing. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Hibbing, she taught art at the Page Arts Center, and she loved hunting and being in the woods.
Catherine is survived by her son: Marc W. (Renee Gonzales) Cody of Hibbing; his daughter Catherine A. (Brian Walker) Cody of Mt. Iron; 5 grandchildren: Elizabeth Cody, Scott Cody, and Daniel Gonzales of Hibbing, Christopher Cody Klune of Mt. Iron, and Toni Gonzales of Columbia, SC; and 3 great-grandchildren: Cori, Lexi, and Espyn Gonzales.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Arleigh in 2006.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am memorial service Monday, July 20, 2009 in the Anderson-Daniels Funeral Home Chapel. Catherine will be interred together with her husband, Arleigh, in the Maple Hill cemetery.
