Charles "Charlie" Richard Myhre, age 71 of Virginia, died Friday, June 26, 2026 at Essentia Health in Virginia.  He was born in Eveleth on January 2, 1955 to Roy and Florence (Hemry) Myhre.  He was a 1973 graduate of the Eveleth High School, and earned his AA/AAS degree from Mesabi Community College.  He married Danita "Ticky" Tassi on June 22, 1991 in Eveleth.

Charlie worked for Range Mental Health, Staver Foundry, Range Youth Services, and Miner's Inc.  He was a member of the Human Services club, and The Heritage Trail Bible Church.  He loved following his children's sporting events, "putzing" outside, camping, gardening, cooking, reading, listening to 70's music, and watching the MN Wild, Vikings, and Twins.

He is survived by his wife:  Danita;  Children:  Dawn (Mike) Takach of Avon, April Steele of  Duluth, Charlie Myhre of Bemidji,  Amanda Myhre of Virginia, Casey Myhre of Virginia, and Caleece Myhre of Minneapolis;  Grandchildren:  Travis, Jasmine, Elena, Ernie, Jr, Alana, Adrianna, Mariah, Ace, Mia, Jasper, Charlie, Jr., Chase, Charlissa, Gavin, Simon, and one on the way;  Siblings:  Dorothy (Bird) King of Orr,  Sharen Olsen of Eveleth,  Rod (Christine) Myhre of Chaska, Marilyn (Rodney) Matteson of Eveleth, Margo Shambo of Eveleth, Barb Ferkul of Eveleth, and Ann Purkat of Duluth;  Sister-in-Law:  Margaret Myhre of Mahnomen; Extended family and friends.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents: Roy and Florence;  Father and mother-in-law:  Daniel and Pearl Tassi; Sister: Jessica Myhre:  Brother:  James Myhre;  Brother-in Law:  Dennis Olsen, and Grandson:  Garrett.

A memorial service will be on July 16 at 11:00 am, with a visitation beginning at 10:00, at the Heritage Trail Bible Church, 5266 Heritage Trail, Gilbert, MN.  Pastor Gus Layman will officiate.  Inurnment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Virginia.
