Charlotte M. Cheever, age 84, of White Bear Lake, MN and formerly of Hibbing, died Thursday, February 17, 2011 in The Lodge of White Bear Lake. She was born April 7, 1926 in Starkweather, ND the daughter of Clifford and Gena (Rudd) Wesley. She graduated from Hibbing High School, and was united in marriage to Robert Cheever on July 18, 1948 in Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Hibbing.
Charlotte worked for the Pentagon during WWII. Following her return to Hibbing, she worked for the Hibbing Chamber of Commerce, and then in the PR Department at US Steel – Minntac. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, and the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed square dancing and bowling.
Charlotte is survived by her children: Carol (Richard) Miesbauer of Littleton, CO, and Jeff (Colleen) Cheever of White Bear Lake, MN; four grandchildren: Brian (Katie) Miesbauer, Eric Miesbauer, Sara (Lucas Kunach) Cheever, and Thomas Cheever; great-grandson: Aiden Miesbauer; brothers: Earl Wesley of Hibbing, and Wallace Wesley of Compton, CA; and a sister: Ardes (Walter) May of Overland Park, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Robert in 2000, and two sisters: Marvel Parham and Phillis Koskinen.
Visitation will be from 12 noon until the 1:00 pm funeral service Wednesday, February 23, 2011 in Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Hibbing. The Reverend Erik Holleque will officiate. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
