Curtis Oliver Maki, age 61, lifelong resident of Virginia died Thursday, October 27, 2011, in the Virginia Regional Medical Center. He was born February 12, 1950 in Virginia, the son of Eino and Joan (Pucel) Maki. He graduated from Virginia High School. He enjoyed music, making model cars, reading, art, fishing, spending time at the family cabin, and visiting his friends in Virginia..
Curtis is survived by two brothers: Mark (Linda) Maki of Lighthouse Point, FL, and Paul (Barbara) Maki of East Gull Lake, MN; a sister: Connie Maki of Enderlin, ND; nieces and nephews: Brian Maki, Maiah Maki, Mikaela Maki, Austin Sprunk, and Zachary Sprunk: and his special friend: Beverly Leikas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service is planned for Friday, November 4, 2011, at 11:00 am in St. John's Chapel in Virginia. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank Jay Wall and all of the staff at Lakeview Residence for the wonderful care and friendship that they extended to Curtis.
