David. Thodal, age 63, of Virginia and formerly of Belgrade, MT, died Sunday, January 8, 2017, while out skiing on the Big Aspen Trails. He was born September 5, 1953 in East Long Meadow, MA, the son of Laurence and Joyce (Johnson) Thodal. He attended school on East Long Meadow, and the University of Maine. David was united in marriage to Suzanne Beetsch on June 21, 1989, in Mankato, MN.

David worked as a self-employed carpenter while in Belgrade, and was recently working for the MN Dept. of Corrections. David was a poet, who enjoyed helping others, skiing, hunting, and other outdoor activities.

David is survived by his wife: Suzanne; his daughter: Ellie Thodal of Savannah, GA; a sister: Linda Thodal of East Long Meadow, MA; and two brothers: Carl Thodal of Carson City, NV, and Eric (Joanne) Thodal of Warrenton, VA.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until the 4:30 pm Memorial Service Friday, January 13, 2017, at the Bauman-Cron Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Marlin Bjornrud will officiate.
