David Andrew Tweten, age 57, longtime resident of Eveleth died Saturday, April 6, 2013, in St. Mary's Essentia Health in Duluth. He was born June 28, 1955, in Hibbing the son of Conrad and Luella (Weigelt) Tweten. He graduated from Eveleth High School, and went on to receive his AA in Automated Systems from Mesabi Range Community College.
David worked as a production truck driver for United Taconite. He was a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. David enjoyed going for drives, spending time with his grandchildren, hunting and fishing, and being a ham radio operator.
David is survived by his stepmother: Cloie Intihar of Eveleth, MN; children: Timothy Tweten of Virginia, MN, Jesse (Rebekah) Tweten of Virginia, Samantha Tweten of Virginia, and Daniel Tweten of Eveleth; sisters: Pam (Don) Carsella of Northome, MN, and Shelley Tweten of Nashwauk, MN; step-brothers: Micheal (Robin) Intihar or Makinen and Bob ( Pat) Intihar of Centerville, MN; step-sister: Terri (Jerry) Rosenquist of Eveleth and grandchildren: Kaela, Noah, Darren, Amya, Connor, Annabelle, and Joshua.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother: Randy.
Visitation will be from 3:00p.m. until the 4:00 p.m. service Thursday, April 18, 2013 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Virginia. Bishop Ron Alger will officiate. Interment will be in the Eveleth Cemetery.
