Deborah Joan Scorich, age 58, of Mt. Iron and formerly of Hibbing, died Sunday, August 21, 2011 in St. Mary's Essentia Health in Duluth. She was born February 7, 1953 in Hibbing the daughter of Walter and Grace (Frost) Maki. She graduated from Hibbing High School in 1971, and went on to attend Hibbing Jr. College. She was united in marriage to Matthew Scorich on July 28, 1973 in Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Hibbing.
Deb worked as a homemaker, and, most recently, at Peebles in Hibbing. She enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends, crafting, cruising in classic cars, 4-wheeling, and bowling.
Deb is survived by her husband: Matt; her sons: Matt Jr. of Mt. Iron, and Jason of Duluth; her mother: Grace Maki of Hibbing; siblings: Walt Jr. (Mary) Maki of Little Swan, Kathy (Harlee) Sirjord of Hibbing, Cheryl (Bill) Goodman of Marion, IN, Matt (Shelly) Maki of Hibbing, Sue (Gary) Champion of Hibbing, and Rev. Tim (Stephanie) Maki of Hibbing.
She was preceded in death by her father: Walt Sr., and her brother: Mark Maki.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am Funeral Service Friday, August 26, 20ll in the Hibbing Alliance Church. The Reverend Timothy Maki will officiate. Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Buhl.
