Doris Ann Kochaver, age 85 of Mt. Iron – South Grove died Monday, March 13, 2017 in St. Michael's Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 29, 1931 in Deer Creek, MN the daughter of Harold and Mildred (Arbuckle) Bemus and was a 1949 graduate of Deer Creek High School. Doris was a longtime resident of Mt. Iron – South Grove and married Jack Kochaver on August 13, 1971. She was employed by Sears and Roebuck and the American Red Cross; was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, and enjoyed music, gardening, and bingo. Doris cherished time spent with her family.

Doris is survived by son: Mike (Mary Lou) Hamari of Eveleth, daughter: Sandi (Ron) Shoden of Virginia; special children by marriage to Jack: Kathy (Roy) Williams of Minneapolis and Mike Kochaver of Bellevue, NE; grandchildren: Dustin Hamari, Dara Lynne Hendricks, was known as Granny Donuts by Holly (Jason) Semerad, Derek Shoden, and Lindsey Shoden; great-grandchildren: Mila Sophia, Jocelyn Elyse, and Estelle Rose; niece: Karen (Dennis) Peterson of Columbus, MN; extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, and sister: Maxine Manselle.

Honoring Doris' request, no public service will be held. Her family will celebrate her life privately, at a later date.
