Edward Frank "Eddie" Stupca, age 53 of Virginia passed away peacefully Wednesday October 20, 2010. He was born February 17, 1957 in Virginia the son of Edward James and Margaret (Russ) Stupca and was a longtime Virginia resident. Eddie married Gail Nimps on January 19, 1980 in Virginia. Prior to his illness, Eddie had worked as a roofer, a siding installer, an asbestos abatement supervisor, and a cemetery sextant. He was an avid outdoor enthusiast who like to hunt, fish, and shoot; and he enjoyed building. He was very proud of his "shack", and cherished the time he spent there.
Eddie is survived by his parents: Ed and Marge Stupca of Virginia; his wife: Gail; sons: Ben (Samantha Rolfes) Stupca of Eveleth and Dan Stupca of Virginia; siblings: Sue (Bill) Kamnikar of Eveleth, Denise (Brad) Erickson of Baxter, and Greg (Dawn) Stupca of Duluth; mother-in-law: Caroline Nimps of Britt; sister-in-law: Janice (Warren) Marolt of Virginia; numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, and Nephews; and his best friend and companion: Babe.
He was preceded in death by his Maternal and Paternal Grandparents; father-in-law: Owen Nimps; and an infant nephew.
A Service to Celebrate Eddie's Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, October 22, 2010 in the Bauman Cron Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Father John Doyle will officiate.
Memorials are preferred.
