Eileen Mildred Jarnefeld, age 86, longtime resident of Hibbing died Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Evergreen Terrace in Grand Rapids, MN. She was born January 30, 1931 in Gaylord, MN the daughter of Grover Cleveland and Bernice Pearl (Priest) Beatty. She was a graduate of Gaylord High School and Hamline University. Eileen was united in marriage to John Jarnefeld on July 4, 1953 in St. Paul, MN and following his death was later married to Neil Beebe.

Eileen worked as a homemaker. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where she volunteered her time on the finance committee and a variety of other areas. She was a Boy Scout Den Mother, was a member of 4-H, PEO, and Silver Sneakers. Eileen had a kind heart and a curious nature. She enjoyed traveling, books, spending time with her family, crossword puzzles, bird watching, computers, knitting and crocheting – including making hats and afghans for those in need, and of course playing with her dog "Dickens".

Eileen is survived by her children: Jack Jarnefeld of Manor, TX, Janet (Betty Fishbein) Jarnefeld of Somerset, WI, and Judy (Mark Gaulin) Jarnefeld of Albany, NY; and extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands: John and Neil; sister: Marilyn; daughter: Jill; son: Jay; and an infant daughter.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am Memorial Service Monday, January 15, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church in Hibbing. Steve Tomberlin will be the officiant. Inurnment will be in the Hibbing Park "Maple Hill" Cemetery.
