Elizabeth J. Kinsey, age 61, longtime resident of Ely and Babbitt died Wednesday, December 14, 2016, in her home. She was born June 1, 1955, in Robbinsdale, MN, the daughter of Edward and Dorothea (Chase) Dougherty. She graduated from High School in New Hope, MN.

Elizabeth was self-employed as a Massage Therapist. She enjoyed fishing and writing poetry.

Elizabeth is survived by her sons: Ryan (Cassandra) Keppel of Osceola, WI, and Adam O'Doherty of Sartell, MN; her mother: Dorothea Dougherty of New Hope, MN; her brothers: Tim (Nita) Dougherty of St. Paul, MN, and Patrick Dougherty of St. Paul, MN; and her granddaughter: Kyla Keppel.

She was preceded in death by her father.

A memorial gathering will be planned for a later date.
