Ellen Mae Cogger, age 84 of Mountain Iron died Monday, March 17, 2014 in the Solvay Hospice House in Duluth. She was born October 9, 1929 in the family home on Snowball Lake near Calumet, MN the daughter of Joseph and Mary Medich; and married William Cogger, Sr. on August 13, 1949. Ellen was a homemaker who cherished time spent with her family. She was an excellent cook and baker who made the best pies in the world. She enjoyed travelling, flowers, hunting, fishing, and seafood.
Ellen is survived by children: William (Tammy) Cogger of Virginia, Renee (Tony) Lushine of Two Harbors, Cindy (Slavko) Yates of Mt. Iron, Ramona (Butch) Erickson of Mt. Iron and Joni (Terry) Norman of Hermantown; grandchildren: James, Tracy, Christina, Kelly, Amanda, Bill, Nick, Jesse, and Joe; Great-grandchildren: Alexa, Ryan, Jace, Dessa, Brady, Jaelyn, and Abby; sister: Minnie Kivlin of Sacramento, Ca; sisters-in-law: Pat Chupurdia and Phyllis Medich; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Bill; and 10 siblings.
A Private Family Service will be held. Spring Inurnment will take place in the Greenwood Cemetery.
