Biography Elsie B. Nelson, age 92 of Tower passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2009 in the St. Raphael's Health and Rehabilitation Center in Eveleth. She was born January 24, 1917 in Fredrikstad, Norway the daughter of Axel and Augusta (Johansson) Falk. Elsie married Richard O. Nelson in 1941 and was a longtime Tower-Soudan resident. She was a homemaker, enjoyed writing poetry, and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tower.
Elsie is survived by her son: Richard A. Nelson of Tower; and cousins: Linda Trucano, Andrea & Dan Alto and Mike, Doreen Milbridge and Denise, Christine, & Kathy and Jill Duame and Mike, Lisa, Mark and Brian.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Richard O Nelson in 1972 and her son: David M. Nelson in 2007.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2009, in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tower. Pastor Aaron Lofgren will officiate. Interment will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery in Tower.
