Jay Rogers, age 48 of Virginia, died Sat, June 20, 2015 in Essentia Health, St. Mary's in Duluth. He was born Jan. 13, 1967 in San Diego, CA and lived in CA prior to moving to Virginia. He married Nola Johnson Barnett on June 28, 2012 in the Moose Lake Correctional Facility. Jay was very talented as a chef, poet, artist, and musician.
Jay is survived by his wife: Nola, step-children: Becca, Benjamin, and Morgan Barnett; and additional family in MN and CA.
Visitation will be Friday, June 26, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. until the 10 a.m. Memorial Service in Gethsemane Evangelical Lutheran Church. Pastor Nathan Sager will officiate.
