Biography Fay Virginia Wilson

Fay Virginia (Gilchrist) Wilson passed away in her sleep at age 93 at St Luke's Hospital, Duluth on Thursday, June 18, 2009. She was born August 9, 1915 in Madison, WI the daughter of Charles and Ellen (Armstrong) Gilchrist. Fay grew up with three sisters and three brothers in Madison, WI and in 1942 was working at a bank when she met Don Wilson. They were married in 1943 and celebrated 59 years together in Green Bay, WI, before Don's death in 2002. Fay was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and a "Great" grandmother residing in Virginia, MN since 2003. She enjoyed being with family, traveling, reading, playing cards, and was an avid volunteer. Fay was a longtime member of the West Side Moravian Church in Green Bay.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Ellen (Wilson) and Mel Hintz, Jr., Tower, MN; son and daughter-in-law, Arlen and Kathy (DeBouche) Wilson, Liberty, MO; grandchildren Kristen (Hintz) and Jason Harinen, Brooklyn Park, MN; Quinn (Wilson) and Craig Dziedziejko, Toronto, Ontario; Aaron and Kristina (Russell) Wilson, Kansas City, MO; great grandchildren, Karlie, Emma and Drew Harinen; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Edie Gilchrist, Ashwaubenon, WI; brother-in-law Tim McCormick, DePere, WI, and many nieces and nephews.

Immediate family will gather for a memorial service in Green Bay this summer. Fay will be entombed with Don at the Fort Howard Memorial Park, Green Bay, WI.
