Gene Olan Rodberg, age 46 of Virginia died unexpectedly Tuesday, July 8, 2014 in his home of natural causes. He was born July 29, 1967 in El Paso, TX the son of John and Shirley (Niemi) Rodberg. Gene liked the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with friends, was always happy, and liked by everyone he met.
Gene is survived by sisters: Cheryl (Loren) Cameron of Makinen and Michelle Rodberg of Eveleth; niece Brittany, Nephew: Preston, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2014 in the Bauman-Cron Funeral Home Chapel. Private Family Graveside Services will be in the Shaw Cemetery at a later date.
Don't mourn his loss but celebrate his life, be joyous in knowing he was a part of our lives and that he's in a better place, that he's no longer in pain or sick. Don't take life for granted, live life to the fullest and be thankful for every second you have on this earth because you never know when it will be your time. That's what Geno would want.
