Geraldine L. "Gerry" Maki, age 48 of Virginia, died suddenly May 29, 2011 at the Virginia Regional Medical Center. She was born September 18, 1962 in Eveleth the daughter of Kenneth and Ann (Setnikar) Maki. Gerry was employed by Michaels on the Course in Virginia. She enjoyed walking, biking, bowling, bingo, and fishing. Gerry was an active participant in the Special Olympics and received many medals.
Gerry is survived by her siblings: Margaret (Ted) Maki of Lake Vermilion-Tower, Ray (Karen) Maki of Washington, and Patti Maki of Duluth; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings: Mary Ann Dixon and Paul Maki.
Gerry loved life, was always ready to help others, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A Gathering time for family and friends will be held Monday, June 6, 2011 from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Memorial Service in the Bauman-Cron Funeral Home in Virginia.
