Geraldine "Jeri" Nelson, age 90 of Hibbing passed away peacefully, Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Heritage Manor in Hibbing. She was born January 8, 1926 in Hibbing, the daughter of Frank and Irene (Gustafson) Sedlock. Jeri attended Hibbing High School and married Ernest Nelson on December 12, 1947. She worked in the business office at the Hibbing High school until they moved to Duluth where she worked for the City Office until her retirement in 1986. Through her life Jeri enjoyed travelling and a multitude of social activities such as bowling, square dancing, sewing club, church baking, shopping, crafts, friendly gatherings, and she enjoyed living at the Real Life Center in Hibbing. Jeri was always known to have great organizational skills, and had everyone's addresses and phone numbers.

Jeri is loved and survived by her sons: Roger (Barb) Nelson of Chisholm and David (Kathy) Nelson of Superior; grandchildren: Derek (Tanya), Tamara (Tony), Travis, Cale (Angie), Jason (Theresa), and Leslie; great-grandchildren: Austin, Heaven, Luke, Braiden, Astrea, Andrew, Clara, Addison, Magie, Greta, and John; extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Ernie in 2011.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at the First Presbyterian Church in Hibbing. Chaplain Steve Tomberlin will officiate. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in the Hibbing Park – Maple Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jeri's grandsons.
