Obituary

Gladys Evelyn Gorman, age 94 of Virginia, died Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the Essentia Health Virginia Care Center. She was born Nov. 24, 1921 in Pennington, MN to Charles and Mary (Blezil) Isensee. She completed all grades of a one room school, and became the common law wife of Earl E. Gorman. She lived in Pennington, MN, Kelly Lake, MN, Great Falls, MT, Hibbing, MN, Long Beach CA, and Virginia, MN. She was a housewife, mother, waitress, laundress, and housekeeper, and had attended the Methodist church. She enjoyed her grandkids, woodworking, gardening, robins, hummingbirds, and all of nature.


Gladys is survived by her children: Lila (Jerome) Wiener of Babbitt, Elaine Gorman of Virginia, Floyd (Barbara) Gorman of Chisholm, Sandra Gorman of Virginia, and Debby Graven of Virginia; her sister: Virginia Johnson of Florida; 11 grandchildren: Jerry, Susan, Kim, Karen, Kelly, Craig, Celeste, Elaina, Fred, Dale, and Stacey; 18 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; her son William Gorman; and Siblings: William, Floyd, Russell, Eileen, Dorothy, Lucille, Kenny, and Marcella.


A Gathering time for family and friends will be held Wed., June 8 from 12:00 noon until the 1:00 pm Memorial Service at the Bauman-Cron Funeral Home in Virginia. Pastor Brad Felix will officiate.
