Gladys Rusch, age 89 of Soudan, died Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Golden Horizons in Tower. She was born in Proctor on July 24, 1927 to Albert and Alma (Larson) Skog. She was a graduate of the Moose Lake High School and worked at Western Electric in Duluth. She married William Rusch on Nov. 29, 1957 in Duluth and they moved to Soudan in 1959. Gladys was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tower, enjoyed bowling, gardening, and playing cards with the girls.

Gladys is survived by her husband of 56 years: William; children: Linda Wiermaa of Saginaw, MN and Billy (Ramona) Rusch of Dover, TN; grandchildren: Tiffany (Nick), Jordan (Ashly), Trevor, April, Hannah, John, and RaeAnne; and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: Bernard, Robert, and Bernice.

A Visitation will begin at 11:00 am on Sat., Aug. 27 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tower. A Memorial service will be at 12:00 noon, also at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Pastor Liz Cheney will officiate.
