Gloria Mary Aho, age 86, longtime resident of Hibbing, died peacefully on July 11, 2014 surrounded by family at her residence in Eden Prairie, MN. She was born May 3, 1928, in Buhl, MN the daughter of Joseph and Mary Bonato. She graduated from Virginia High School. Gloria was united in marriage to Robert Aho on June 7, 1947, in Virginia, MN.
Gloria worked as a homemaker. She was a member of the Hibbing Catholic Community – attending St. Leo's. She enjoyed traveling, golfing, fishing, playing bridge, bowling, and cross-country skiing.
Gloria will be missed by her husband: Robert of Eden Prairie; her son: Bob (Sharon) Aho of Eden Prairie; her brother: Joe (Charlotte) Bonato of Michigan; her sister: Inez Lami of Hopkins, MN; and her extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister: Olga Gambucci.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Friday, July 18, 2014, in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing. The Reverend Fr. Gabriel Waweru will be the Celebrant. Inurnment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing. The family prefers that memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society.
