Obituary

Hazel Virginia Bolf, age 94, longtime resident of Nashwauk died Wednesday, May 25, 2011, in the Chris Jensen Nursing Home in Duluth. She was born May 29, 1916 in Mt. Iron, MN the daughter of Emil and Nellie (Mattson) Walwick. She graduated from Nashwauk High School and attended Hibbing Jr. College. She was united in marriage to George Bolf on June 24, 1939.
Hazel worked as a homemaker, and as a Legal Secretary for 25 years. Following her retirement she and George moved to Sun City Arizona, and later returned to Nashwauk.
Hazel is survived by her sons: Matthew (Donna) Bolf and Gregory (Hedy) Bolf, both of Duluth; five grandchildren: David (Kelly) Bolf, Heather (Adam) Klever, Matthew (MacKenzie) Bolf, Michael (Stacy) Bolf, and Laura Bolf; 7 great-grandchildren, and nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: George; and two brothers: Russell and Marvin.
Visitation will be from 10:00 until the 11:00 am funeral service Wednesday, June 1, 2011 in the Nashwauk United Methodist Church. The Rev. Peg Christianson will officiate. Interment will be in the Nashwauk Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the United Methodist Women in Nashwauk.
