Jacob Timothy "Jake" Stellmach, age 19 of Virginia, went home Saturday, June 6, 2009, as the result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born January 10, 1990 in Virginia, the son of Timothy and Dawn (Roy) Stellmach. Jake was a 2008 graduate of Virginia Roosevelt High School and currently attending Mesabi Range Community and Technical College. He loved his cats, was a computer whiz, and an alumnus of the Virginia High School Marching Blues Tuba Section. Jake enjoyed writing, he was a good conversationalist, a good listener, and enjoyed playing "Rock Band". He will be deeply missed.
Jake is survived by his parents, Tim & Dawn Stellmach of Virginia; brother, Casey (Courtney) Stellmach of Oceanside, CA; grandparents, Jeanette Stellmach of Virginia, Tom (Janet) Stellmach of Ely, and Nancy Engel of Virginia; numerous aunts and uncles including, Douglas (Sri) Stellmach of Ely, Mark (Donna) Stellmach of Seattle, WA, Terry Stellmach of Blaine, MN, Linda (Dan) Minier of Ely, Cindy (Tom) Ferretti of Virginia, Pam (Dan) Biehoffer of Tower, Shelley (Barry Collins) Stellmach of Tampa, FL, Julie Stellmach of Tower, Deb (Gary) Moon of Canby, OR, Jayne (John) Egan of Fairfax, VA, Renee (Bryan) Meyers of Duluth, and Darlene (John) Hadrava of Eveleth; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bruce Engel, and uncle, Tom Stellmach, Jr.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2009, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the Hope Community Presbyterian Church in Virginia. Visitation will continue Thursday, June 11th from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am Funeral Service at the Church. Pastor Nathan Williams will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Calvary Cemetery in Virginia.
