Jamie Ray Lehto, age 53, of Elk Mound, WI, formerly of Britt, passed away on August 19, 2026, at Mayo Clinic in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, surrounded by those who loved him. Jamie was born on August 9, 1973, in Virginia, Minnesota, to Raymond Edwin Lehto and Karen Ann Lehto. He graduated in 1991 from Roosevelt Senior High School in Virginia. After high school, Jamie proudly joined the United States Navy, where he served his country as a Sonar Technician. Jamie will be remembered by his family and friends for the person he was and the memories he created throughout his life. His family was an important part of his life, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. Jamie had a deep love for nature and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, and gardening, finding peace and happiness in the simple things that connected him to the outdoors. He also had a special love for his chickens and took great pride in caring for all of them. Jamie loved carpentry and working with his hands, whether it was taking on a remodeling project or refinishing pieces of furniture. These were some of the things that brought him joy and made him who he was. Jamie is survived by his daughters, Katelynn and Hailey; his fiancée, Amber Anderson; Amber's sons, Caleb and Brady, whom Jamie loved as part of his family; his mother, Karen Lehto (Dennis Wessman); his sister, Diana Jacka (Justin Koschak); his niece, Alexandria Anderson; his nephew, Lucas Jacka (Cammie Coy); his great nieces, Reese and Reagan Anderson; his special great niece, Lyla Jacka, who loved her “Funcle” so very much; and many other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Edwin Lehto; his maternal grandparents, Albert and Esther Jacobson; and his paternal grandparents, Jalmer Lehto, Eugene and Mayme Hilmas, as well as uncles, aunts, cousins, and many other loved ones and friends. Jamie leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a place in the hearts of all who loved him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A service will be held at the Bauman-Cron Funeral Home in Virginia, on Saturday, September 12th, at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will begin one hour prior at 10:00 a.m. Graveside burial will be at the Sandy North cemetery with military honors.
