Jason Timothy Kangas, age 40, of Hibbing passed away peacefully surrounded by family Sunday, July 12, 2015, at St. Luke's Medical Center in Duluth. He was born March 26, 1975, in Chisholm the son of Timothy and Cynthia (Culliton) Kangas. He graduated from Hibbing High School.
A gentle, kind, loving-spirited man Jason loved his friends & residents while he was an employee of Guardian Angels. His pride and joy were his nieces & nephew and he enjoyed 4-wheeling, hunting and fishing.
He will forever be missed by his family: his mother: Cindy (Paul Peplinski) Culliton of Altoona, WI; brothers: Corey (Melissa) Kangas and Justin (Lisa) Kangas both of Hibbing; sister: Alysha (Aaron Bonelli) Eckstrom of Hibbing; three nieces: Kaylee, Aubry & Ava Kangas; nephew: Eli Kangas; maternal grandparents: Don (Darlene) Culliton; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father: Timothy John Kangas; uncle: Gary Kangas; and paternal grandparents: Donald & Sally Kangas.
A private family service will be held with the Reverend Kevin Olson officiating.
