Jean Virginia Christenson, age 81, longtime resident of Hibbing, died Sunday, April 14, 2013, in Guardian Angels in Hibbing. She was born January 24, 1932, in Hibbing the daughter of Harold and Elsie (Carlson) Arnebeck. She graduated from Hibbing High School and went on to receive her BA in Denver.
Jean worked as a teacher and as a social worker for St. Louis County in Hibbing. She was a member of First Lutheran Church.
Jean is survived by two sons: David S. Christenson of Effie, MN, and Greg Christenson of Sturgeon Lake, MN; a brother: Robert "Lenny" Arnebeck of Chisholm; a grandson: Gregory Michael Christenson; and a great-grandson: Aiden Christenson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother: Wallace Arnebeck.
A private family service will be held this spring in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
