Jennie Hilma Clemons, age 95, of Hibbing and formerly of Cedar Valley, died Thursday, November 29, 2012, in the Bigfork Valley Community Nursing Home in Bigfork. She was born April 9, 1917, in Buhl, MN the daughter of Matt and Hilma (Saralampi) Maki. She attended school in Cedar Valley and Floodwood. She was united in marriage to Casper "Cap" Clemons on October 9, 1948, in Eveleth, MN.
Jennie worked as a homemaker, and she worked on the railroad during WWII. She attended the Hibbing Alliance Church, and was a member of the Silica Sr. Citizens Club, Railroad Retirees, and MADD.
Jennie is survived by her children: Roger (Jan) Clemons of Elk River, MN, Marsha (Dave) Nelson of Hibbing, and Robert Clemons of Floodwood Lake; six grandchildren: Carrie, Melanie, Jesse, Mike, Melissa, and Aaron; and nine great-grandchildren: Arial, Aleese, Alaina, Gavin, Giselle, Kaelyn, Hailey, Cole, and Addison.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Cap; two grandchildren: Matthew and Jeremy; four brothers: Walter, Reino, Hugo, and Elmer; and four sisters: Saima, Faye, Martha, and Lillian.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the 12:00 noon Funeral Service Tuesday, December 4, 2012, in the Hibbing Alliance Church. The Reverend Kevin L. Norton will officiate. Interment will be in the Cedar Valley Cemetery.
