Jerry T. Lee, age 82, of Britt died Saturday, November 16, 2013 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born August 12, 1931 in Hermitage, AR, the son of James O., Sr. and Gladys (Thompson) Lee. Jerry was a Mechanical Engineer and a longtime employee of Potlatch Corporation working in Arkansas and Idaho prior to moving to the Virginia area in 1982, and retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Virginia Elks Lodge, Virginia Masonic Lodge #264 AF&AM, the Crellin-Tini VFW Post #1113, and the Bemidji VFW Post #1260. Jerry also served on the initial Board of Directors for the Mesabi YMCA. Jerry was a fine southern gentleman with a quick wit and a keen sense of humor. He loved to kid around and tell stories and jokes. Jerry was an avid reader, a WWII buff, and a proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War.

Jerry is survived by his wife Susan (Durbin), children Karen (Howard) Stephenson of Pine Bluff, AR, Dr. Michael (Luann) Lee of Alta Vista, VA, stepdaughter Lisa (Frank Peterson) Seliskar of Apple Valley, MN, grandchildren: Lynn (Jeff) McKinney, Janna Lee., Michael Lee, Brooke Northrip, Bethany Garcia, Ashley Peterson, Morgan Dietrich, Kevin Peterson, Lexi Peterson, and Franki Peterson, great-grandchildren Anna Grace, Emily and Colton Swanson, Father –in-law Donald Durbin (Betty Hilton) sisters-in-law: Mary Lee, Margie Durbin, Penny VanVickle, Tina (Jerry) Durbin, brothers –in-law Scott (Darlene) Durbin, Donnie (Lisa) Durbin, and Paul Durbin as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, and his loyal canine companions Tippy and Skippy.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, brothers J.O. Lee, Craven Lee, mother-in-law Julia Durbin, brothers-in-law Jerry Durbin and David VanVickle, and son-in-law Frank Peterson,

A gathering time for family and friends will be held Saturday, November 23, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. Memorial Service in the Bauman-Cron Funeral Home in Virginia. Military Honors accorded by the Virginia Serviceman's Honor Guard.
