Jody Lynn Lambert, 72, passed away peacefully on the morning of June 16, 2026, at Essentia Health in Duluth surrounded by her husband John and her children Brandon and Amanda.

Jody was born on November 19, 1953, in Oceanside, California, raised in Gilbert, and made her lifelong home in Britt.

Jody was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Jean Biondich.

She is survived by her devoted husband of almost 52 years (July 12), John Lambert; her son, Brandon Lambert and his wife, Courtney; her daughter, Amanda McDonald and her husband, Phil; and her grandchildren, Jack and Charlie Lambert, and Mason and Mara McDonald. She is also survived by her siblings Donna Gustafson, Jimmy Biondich, and Mitzi Biondich, along with many extended family members and dear friends.

Jody enjoyed a successful career as a purchasing agent at Potlatch for twenty-five years before its abrupt closing. She finished her working life at Joy Global before retiring in 2014.

During retirement, she spent winters in Lake Havasu and summers watching her grandchildren grow at the cabin on Lake Vermilion. She met regularly with a close-knit group from her graduating class affectionately known as the "72 Club." She was at her happiest, though, at home nestled between John and her beloved little Coco.

A Memorial Mass will be at 11:00 am on Monday, June 22, 2026 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Virginia.  The visitation will begin at 10:00 am.  Father Brandon Moravitz will be the celebrant.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Mesabi Humane Society.
