Obituary

Jon Charles Tekautz, age 41, lifelong resident of Virginia died Sunday, May 17, 2015, in his home. He was born March 26, 1974, in Virginia the son of Robert and Paula (Koski) Tekautz. He graduated from Virginia High School.
Jon was a self-employed carpenter and was preparing to begin work at the Virginia Public Utilities. He formerly worked for AEOA as an energy auditor, housing inspector, and a production supervisor, and prior to that he was a manager at Plaza Hardware. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Jon enjoyed golfing, fishing, carpentry and helping people. He was an excellent athlete lettering in hockey as a goalie, baseball and football during high school. Still, to this day, he talked about his high school sports and he loved running into former teammates. He was extremely proud of all of his nieces and nephews in their sports and hobbies – they all held a special place in his heart. He was very excited for his great nephew "on-the-way". He was an exceptional son by taking care of his father and always being there for his mother.
