Joseph Thomas Davis, age 80, of Hibbing died Thursday, January 26, 2012, in St. Raphael's Health and Rehabilitation Center in Eveleth. He was born April 30, 1931 in North Hibbing, the son of Daniel and Violet (Markle) Davis. He attended Hibbing Schools.
Joe was a Veteran of the US Navy, serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Joe retired from a 31-year career with the Hibbing Schools. He loved hunting, fishing, and numerous sports.
Joe is survived by his brother Cliff Davis of Hibbing; his girlfriend: Shirley Weston of Virginia; four nieces and nephews: Larry (LuLu) Nessola, Daniel (Deborah) Carlson, Carolyn (Mark) Kvasager, and Robert (Marcy) Carlson; and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters: Dorothy Carlson, Verna Nessola, and Josephine Davis.
A Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 30, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Anderson-Daniels Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend Terry Tilton will officiate. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
