Julia "Juka" Altuvilla, age 85, of Hudson, WI, and formerly long-time resident of Hibbing died Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at St. John's Hospital in Maplewood, MN. She was born May 16, 1932, in Hibbing the daughter of Dan and Mary (Jaksich) Terzich. She graduated from Hibbing High School. Julie was united in marriage to Harold "Babe" Altuvilla on November 19, 1955, in Chisholm, MN.

Julie worked a short while for Maurices, and then for Thrifty White (formerly Snyder Drug) – retiring after more than 30 years of service. She was a member of St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church, and the VFW. She enjoyed her church family, reading, planting flowers, and spending time with her grandchildren, and friends.

Julie is survived by her daughters: Kari (Michael, Sr.) Altavilla-Ratz of Hudson, WI, and Lynne Altuvilla of Hibbing, MN; grandchildren: Nicolette and Michael, Jr.; brother-in-law: Bob (Barbara) Altuvilla; sister-in-law: Marilyn Terzich; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Mike, Louie, Joe, Dushan, Peter, and Bobby; and sisters: Dorothy, Luba, Sophie "Stana", and Annie.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am Funeral Service Monday, June 12, 2017, at St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church in Hibbing. The Reverend Radomir Plavsic will officiate. Interment will be in the Hibbing Park "Maple Hill" Cemetery.
