Julia Marigold Kermode, age 98 of Hibbing died Friday, November 18, 2011 in the Greenview Residence, where she has resided for the last nine years. She was born May 23, 1913 in Cook, MN the daughter of Joseph and Edith (Branham) Mihm. Julia lived in Cook until moving to Hibbing in 1923 and was a 1930 graduate of Hibbing High Scho0ol. She married John Hartley Kermode on July 21, 1934 in Hibbing and was a homemaker. Julia was a member of Wesley united Methodist Church and an honorary member of its Naomi Circle. She enjoyed card playing and traveling.
Julia is survived by daughters: Joy (Robert) Beidler of Altamont, TN and Sharon (Ken) Zezel of Hibbing; sisters: Virgil Johnson and Edith (Ken) Trembath both of Hibbing; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather; husband: John Hartley; daughter and son-in-law: Dee and John Thompson; brothers: Archie, Earl, Lloyd, Arnold and Robert Mihm; and brother-in-law: Reino Johnson.
Per Julia's request, private family services will be held.
Casketbearers will be Julia's grandchildren.
