Julie Marie (Mlaker) Pierce, age 51, died on February 27, 2018. Julie passed away in her home and had been a long time resident of Hibbing. Julie was born on August 8, 1966 in Riverside, CA. Julie was the daughter of Frank and Sharon Mlaker, of Hibbing. Julie was a graduate of both Hibbing High School and Hibbing Community College. Julie had a beautiful smile and was loved and cared for by many. Julie was vibrant, kind, and was often the life of the party.

Julie is survived by her daughter: Amanda Mlaker of Bemidji, MN; her parents: Sharon and Frank Mlaker of Hibbing; sister: Jennifer Newman of Hibbing; brother: Erik (Jennifer) Mlaker of Holden ME; maternal grandmother: Patricia Smith; paternal grandmother: Marge Pogorels; niece and nephew: Brady and Mackenzie Newman, numerous extended family members; and her grand puppies Lillian and Josie Mae.

Julie was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather: William Smith.

A Celebration of Life Event will be held at a later date and friends and family will be notified of details.
