Katina Marie "Tina" Rasmusson, age 44 of Virginia went home to be with her loving Lord on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 in Essentia St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth. She was born April 11, 1973 in Virginia, the daughter of Darwin and Alice (Kaivola) Rasmusson. Tina lived in Virginia, Duluth, Minneapolis, and Iowa City prior returning to Virginia in 2016. She was employed in patient registration at Essentia Virginia. Tina embodied a positive, never give up attitude and was an inspiration to many in her five year battle with cancer. The Rasmussons extend a special thank you to "Team Tina".

Tina is survived by her parents: Darwin and Kim Rasmusson of Virginia; siblings: Audrea (Sam) Denstedt of Mora, Zach Rasmusson of Virginia and Shinay Rasmusson of Minneapolis, nephews Andrew Rogalski of Zimmerman, Nathan Rogalski of Mora, and niece Kirstie Rogalski of Mora, great niece Piper, great nephew Jeremiah; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family and many friends, including: Amber, Liz, Lannette, and their families.

She was preceded in death by her Mother: Alice; grandparents: Dutch and Bonnie Rasmusson, Vern and Mae Kaivola, and Donald and Geneva Block; and nephew: James Rogalski, Jr.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the Embarrass Evangelicals Free Church. Pastor Marlin Bjornrud will officiate. A Gathering time for family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will be in the East Pike Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred and may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
